Brussel Sprouts

Remember, DATES are extremely versatile 🤗🌈🌴you can use them in a lot of desserts, as well as in savoury dishes, like this delicious Brussel sprouts!

✅¾ pound of halved Brussels sprouts

✅Olive oil

✅1 teaspoon of salt

✅1 teaspoon of black pepper

✅½ teaspoon of garlic powder

✅2 bacon slices

For the balsamic glaze:

✅2 tablespoons of butter or margarine

✅1/3 cup balsamic vinegar

✅¼ teaspoon salt

✅¼ teaspoon black pepper

✅3 pitted and sliced dates

✅2 pitted and chopped dates

✅Sliced almonds

•Preheat the oven to 350°F.

•In a medium bowl put the Brussels sprouts with salt, pepper, garlic powder and a few dashes of olive oil, enough to help the seasoning stick to the sprouts.

•Put them on a baking pan and roast for 20-25 minutes.

•For the sauce, on a saucepan, fry the bacon to your preferred level of crispiness and remove from the skillet.

•Add the butter, when melted, add balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and chopped dates.

•Mix and cook until the mixture starts to thicken. Give your sauce a taste, if the flavor is to intense, add a few tablespoons of water and let it reduce for a further 2 minutes.

🍽🤩Serve the Brussels sprouts, pour the glaze over and add the bacon, sliced dates and sliced almonds.
